पश्चिम बंगाल की पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी की गाड़ी पर हुए हमले पर सपा प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने कहा, "लोकतंत्र में इस प्रकार की घटना होना दुखद है। जो इतनी वरिष्ठ नेता हैं वहां की मुख्यमंत्री रही हैं, उसके बाद उन पर हमला हो जाए और जिस प्रकार का व्यवहार हो रहा है? अगर सरकार करा रही है तो ये बहुत निंदनीय है। हालांकी शुभेदु सरकार की तरफ से इस घटना में बीजेपी के शामिल होने को दरकिनार किया है
Reacting to the attack on the vehicle of former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, "It is unfortunate that such an incident has occurred in a democracy. She is a very senior leader and a former Chief Minister; for her to be attacked and subjected to such treatment—if the government is orchestrating this, it is highly condemnable." However, Suvendu Adhikari has dismissed allegations of the BJP's involvement in the incident.
